Crowns

Crowns are advised when it is necessary to protect, strengthen and restore teeth. They may also be used to cover discoloured or misshapen teeth to improve the overall appearance of your smile.

Available in a range of materials, our crowns permanently sit over the entire visible surface of your existing tooth and are made to look as real as your own natural tooth.

The procedure takes two appointments. At the first appointment, we minimally shape the tooth and place a temporary crown. About 14 days later at your second appointment, we remove the temporary crown, place your new crown and check the fit and your bite.

The crown can last for many years if good oral hygiene is maintained, depending on the condition of the original tooth. Additional care should be taken to keep the crown and surrounding area clean. Your Hadleigh Dental Surgery dentist or dental hygienist will recommend an appropriate home care regime.

I felt the treatment I received was very professional but also conducted with a personal touch. My dentist (Philip Wilson) listened and responded accordingly to the concerns I had re the cleaning techniques that were to be used on my teeth.

My daughter was seen very quickly after checking her in at reception. The lady at the desk was nice and polite. The area where we waited was bright and airy and clean. The dental nurse collected my daughter and she was very smiley and friendly. The dentist is always very nice when we visit and he is very polite, friendly and professional putting my daughter at ease. She doesn't dread going to the dentist as everyone is very nice and smiley. Cannot fault.

Absolutely everything. I can think of no areas that would be improved. It a customer rare to have a perfect experience as a customer where every member of staff is so professional and yet also personable.

I have been looked after by Mr Wilson for the past 39 years. Even though we have moved out of the district there is no way ( whilst i am able), that I would consider going to anyone else.
